Terms
These are the terms for using this site. It sends texts only to people who ask for them: a code each time you ask for one, and after you sign the petition at most four more.
Signing the petition
Sign only once, in your own name, with a phone that is yours, and only if you are 13 or older.
The texts
When you sign the petition at the end of the Wildfire essay, or on its own page, and agree to be texted, this site texts you for Sergio Patiño. A six-digit code comes right away, and a new one each time you ask for it again. If the sentence you agreed to included them, up to three messages come when the count passes 100, 500 and 1,000 signatures; each gives the count and asks you to pass the petition on. One message comes when Wildfire opens, with a link to join Wildfire. Nothing else is sent, and nothing is sent to a number that did not ask.
The texts come from Wildfire’s own number.
What they cost
Nothing from me. Your carrier’s message and data rates may apply.
Stopping them
Reply STOP to any of these texts and nothing more is sent to you from Wildfire’s number, Wildfire’s own texts included. Your name, number, ZIP code and ward are deleted from the petition.
To get texts from Wildfire’s number again, for Wildfire or anything else, reply START. That does not put your name back on the petition; after START, you can sign again at the end of the essay.

The posters
You may print the posters, put them up and share their images. Please don’t change their words or design, sell them, or use them to advertise anything. Put them up only where posters are allowed, and ask first if you’re not sure. Whoever puts a poster up is responsible for where it goes.
Comments and the guestbook
You need to be 13 or older to comment, and 16 or older to sign the guestbook. What you post stays yours, and you are responsible for it. By posting it, you let me show it on this site. I can take down any comment or entry, and I take yours down whenever you ask.

My essays, the posters and everything else I write here are mine. You’re welcome to quote any of it, with a link to where it came from.
Changes
Last changed October 1, 2026. When these terms change, that date changes with them. A change never adds texts to what you already agreed to.
